the postings get "deleted" when people like you make comments on this forum that degrades the whole being of this paper. You, personally attack people with your words on these very forums for your own pleasure regardless of thruth, or consequences. you believe in your own mind-that you are the only one who is right about everything, when in fact, you are not. that is not the intention of this paper, or the citizens who read these forums. absence of malice, is illegal, and immoral. if you were to make comments on these forums, pleasant, and kind, regardless of dis-agreement, or agreement...then the threads, or post would not be deleted. attacking someone, their family, or their beliefs, is just plain wrong. yours are not the only ones that have been removed. be courteous, kind, and open minded, in your choice of words.
your beliefs, thoughts, and philosophy does not make you always right, just in your own mind, and maybe a few others who think and fell the way you do.
have a good day, sir! enjoy your coffee, or tea!

This forum has been abused. It will change. This forum is not for personal agendas, personal political agendas, name calling or off topic conversations. It was started years ago as a means to get additional information to the public. A few posters have made it a gossip column which was never the intent. Interesting response. Forum has been abused - Agreed. It will change - I will be interested to see how. Change can be good, but the type of change will determine if the board is any longer useful. I don't necessarily disagree with the next statement, but who determines what is considered a "personal agenda, personal political agenda, or if something is off topic. Off topic may be somewhat easy, but actual practice seems to be very arbitrary. My concern is that it seems to me that some items are on topic, not slanderous but a legitimate discussion, but still seem to get deleted - so somewhere there is a disagreement on what is allowed. If it is only a means to get more information out to the public, I would assume that there would not be any posting by the public allowed. I agree that some posters are slanderous, but if public posting is allowed and it is to be a forum for sharing ideas and thoughts (and if it is open to the public to post, I assume it is a forum for discussions), then maybe there needs to be some way to understand what causes something to be deleted. Again, I agree that there are a few that go way overboard and it is very apparent that they are not following the rules (name calling, etc) but I believe that it also needs to be worked out how to determine why something gets deleted that seems to be within the rules but yet is deleted. I don't know how that should be done, but that is the area I am concerned with. If it is only meant to be a service to get news out, as opposed to a forum for the sharing of ideas, then maybe it should be shut down to public posting and all items need to go to the editor to post. If it is meant to be a public forum, some latitude should be given on expressing opinions as long as they are done in a proper way that does not slander other people by name or explicitly break the rules that are written. Just sharing my opinion. I like the forum and hope that it continues and understand that it can be hard to monitor. I hope for the best in your changes.

Thank you everyone for your ideas and opinions. You can rest assure that you will always have a place to express your thoughts here at countyenews.com; however, the manner in which this is done might change. We will take into account your opinions when we make this decision. To Wondering Why - The football video is forever available at youtube.com. Just search for Stark County Rebels football, or contact me at jason@countyenews.com for a free DVD copy. Jason Musselman Chief Operating Officer/Webmaster Stark County Communications Thinking, This was also on the same page. We will still have the forum, and the ability to post, it will have a different way of doing things. [Maybe]- Like we will have to "register" our "screename". I too agree it has been abused, and terribly taken for granted. But the change regardless will be better than the present. There are way too many wonderful people who use this, and respect it. Jason says we will not lose it-it will just change the way things will be done. There were rules-just certain people thought that they were exempt from them. Some of the posts that were deleted, that didn't seem to be improper was probably done by accident, during the editor's editing them, and was deleted rather than edited, all purely by accident. Most of the others were indeed deleted because they needed to be, and others were edited as needed. Thinking, you have been a great person on here. The deletions of your posts I am sure was a simple accident. I do agree with your present post above whole heartedly, and I hope you will still post, when the change arrives...please! Thanks!

Has there been any plan to change this forum? Will registration be required? Has anyone heard anything? God, I hope so! I have been thinking of dropping my membership, and not renewing my subscription of the full online paper. I am registered, but with the likes of some people on here like concern, I will never use my registered name again on here, the way I have seen him attack with the attitude and hatred he has!
