Expand your knowledge of alternative energy for home, business
Come visit a renewable energy classroom on wheels this Friday, May 15 in downtown Kewanee.
Black Hawk College is providing two FREE seminars to share information about alternative energy choices. Students, homeowners, business owners and community members are invited to tour a solar-powered motor home and alternative energy demonstration lab at the BHC Community Education Center, 404 E. 3rd St., Kewanee.
The schedule is as follows:
Friday, May 15 – Alternative Energy Ideas
· 10 a.m. to noon – Student session where students can watch electricity being generated using the sun and wind and learn the facts and fantasies of new energy sources.
· 12:30-2:30 p.m. – Community session especially for homeowners and business people. Learn about energy audits, alternative energy, conservation and how to save money.
The seminars are co-sponsored by the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce, Kewanee Economic Development Corporation and the University of Illinois Extension
