PEORIA – The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announces that beginning the evening of Thursday, June 4th, weather permitting, construction on Interstate 74 from just west of Peoria to just west of Kickapoo will begin a 24 hour work schedule.
The night work will consist of milling operations and the daytime work will consist of asphalt paving. This schedule will be in effect for approximately 4 weeks. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late this fall.
Please use caution and watch for workers and equipment while traveling through this work zone at all times, especially around the I-474 / IL Route 6 entrance and exit ramps from I-74. Workers, equipment and trucks will be entering and leaving the work zone both day and night.
