WPSP holds “Movies Under the Stars” Hanna City, IL – In an effort to provide even more economical family fun that is close to home, Wildlife Prairie State Park (WPSP) will hold its first Movie Under the Stars on Friday, June 12, 2009.
This week’s feature film will be Madagascar 2. The film schedule includes: 6/12 Madagascar 2 6/19 For Love of the Game 6/26 Happy Feet 7/3 Wizard of Oz 7/10 The Dark Knight 7/17 Journey to the Center of the Earth Movies will be shown under the park’s famous tepee shelter.
The fee is $12.00 per carload. Gates open at 7:15 p.m. and show time is at 8 p.m. Ice cream, popcorn, smores & drinks will be available for purchase. ###
Established in 1978 by Bill and Hazel Rutherford, Wildlife Prairie State Park is a 2,000 acre zoological park that is home to animals indigenous to Illinois including: wolves, bison, waterfowl, black bears, elk, cougars, otters and more. Visitors enjoy spectacular natural surroundings, unique lodging & meeting space, fishing and a Pioneer Farmstead.
