It's not that we are getting off topic, we are just responding to other posts that bring up OTHER topics.....so technically, we are on topic, just a different one......Did that make sense? :-)

Very Well Put.....I do think it was because you used your name, but actually that is what this blog encourages one to do...then when one does it gets deleted. Which way is it?.......... Names or No Names???
I know NOT to use real names when it comes to slandering another person, or trying to refer in a second person text. Everyone knows who you are refering, too. Like I mentioned before.
So if, you have been raised NOT to hang out your dirty wash, then you won't get talked about. To JKraft: I commend you on your bravery, but having known you since you were a little girl I wouldn't expect anything less from you. I must say you are one talented person and a great Mother. And the same goes out to "Our Elementary Principal" whom I have known since she was a baby. Keep up the great work girls.
May I say... I think this thread should have been all deleted (.) period

Where do you really start
As for the crossing guard she needs to be trained what a crossing guard should do and how to treat kids and how to do her job, why do we have school cross walk lines on the pavement and she lets kids cross where they are not if a kid gets hit, the school and her should be held responsible because they were not in a designated cross walk this also includes teachers when they take the kids off of school grounds
For the bus drivers they need to be trained to obey by the rules of the road. Kids should be sitting down at all times and speed limits in school zones are posted for a reason and NOT to be broken this also includes ALL teachers and school staff from the hours of 7am to 4 pm
And why is it that sometimes kids that get to school early for breakfast are made to stand outside and wait while the kids on the busses get to go into the building
These are just some random things that have been observed by me

Very good questions. Why don't you ask the administration? After all you are paying them.

they are always taking applications for crossing guards, and bus drivers. for those of you who have never done either, they are very well trained, and would not have been hired if they did not pass certain tests, after training.
i have done both. i volunteered for crossing guard. i never received pay for this. unless things have changed, i never knew it was a paid position. i had driven school buss for 7 years, when i first retired from my job. seven years later, i could not drive the school bus because of medical reasons. we were all trained, very well. those of you, who seem to have a problem with school personnel, must have had problems during your years in school as well. most kids who have grown up, had kids, seem to have taught their children the "secret" of being a problem child. some of them seems to have quickly achieved their parents goals. i would take the word of a parent, who are in charge with their safety, rather than a child, who seems to be in altercations, or arguments with other students, or faculty. children are to be spoken to, and not heard. a lot of old traditional rules, seems to have been thrown out. it isn't all the children's fault here either. some parents, who never contribute time to help their children with difficult homework, communications, or let them join social after school activities. The elementary school, crossing guards, and principal, are all just innocent targets to people who have a personal vendetta against them. shame, shame, shame...

you are right but the principal makes her self a target by her actions according to DCFS no child is to be subjected to verbal abuse by school officials but the law will not allow them to do anything the previous post on the other page say she is a bully is correct I thought she was a good person until me and my wife got treated the way we did my child has a wonderful behavior gets s and o"s for conduct and has never been in trouble. yes I'm the one who had the little boy yelled at. I spoke with the board president he lied to me told me to bring any thing i had to prove my side. we had a wittiness he would not allow that person in to tell what she had heard . EVERY one warned me that the board will do nothing they were right. all i wanted was an apology for her wrong actions I got one from the superintendent but not her. I have called every agency with the government they don't agree with her actions but it because of state law makes it a board problem. How do you get results when the president of the school board lies to you and doesn't let you present you case fairly. I dont get it, but i tell you we are not the only ones I know a little boy that is being failed by Principal Wallace who has a C average the boys parent have proof and documnetation they talke to the Regional Supertendent he says she is in the wrong but told them to fight it the took there child to sullivans for extra help our school or Renne Wallace does not recongnize them and the letter she wrote to them is is the most degrading of a child you can write and the board wont listen to them either and there are other parents who have had issues, and there are those who dont. I thought she had a lot of good Ideas but I belive the power has gone to her head and the board needs to take charge of this school. We have enough issues to to worry about we dont need an administrative staff putting the school on the brink of a civil siute or on that thinks it a small community they can get by with anything. OH i NEVER DISSAGREED WITH MY CHILD SITTING FOR FIFTEEN MINITUES BUT I DO DISSAGREE WITH YELLING AT A 7 YEAR OLD CALLING THEM A LIAR TO THE THE POINT THEY ARE CRYING OVER THE PHONE SAYING MOMMY I AM TELLING THE TRUTH PRINCIPAL STILL YELLING ONLY FOR RENNEE TO FIND OUT HE WAS TELLING THE TRUTH THE OTHER BOY LIED. mY CHILD WAS PUNISHED ENOUGH. HANDS ON POLICY HAS TO HAVE SOME KIND OF DISCRETION FOR WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND IT DONT .

Huh? I sincerely doubt, that your child was yelled, or screamed at as you say. Not by the principal, or any faculty, for that matter, on the reasons you have stated here. I think there is another reason, if he was seriously yelled at, there must have been a real important reason. The principal there is very fair. You, obviously have never met her, nor have you talked to her, and/or your husband, and child is lying. I would rather tend to believe her side of the story, rather than yours...something smells fishy. Sorry, how can I take your words seriously, and believe anything you say here? Look at your typing, and grammar. I can understand poor spelling-but jeesh, that's bad!
Good luck with your off-spring, from the sounds of it, you will need it! You might want to hang out with them next year if they stay in school, when the spelling, and english book comes home. Ask them if you can borrow it on their off days... ;D

Huh? All this for a fifteen minute time out? My kids have had many a time out, after all kids will be kids. If all these agencies that you talked to thought you were right I'm sure they would intervene. The time out's are to let the kid's have a little break and maybe think about their actions. I doubt if your son learned anything ,with the big scene that you are making of this.
