I would like to echo what Sheila and Vicki noted re: Kyungae asking the dance team to join the cheer squad on the field. I think it was a truly selfless act on her part and as a mom of 2 dance team members, I was thrilled and grateful to the cheerleaders and their sponsor. Y'all looked wonderful together. Kudos to Sheila and Vicki for bringing this dance team to the top. they looked wonderful at halftime. Stark County has much to be proud of.

I wish to add many kudos for what I hear about the cheerleaders including the dance girls. And a big, big "whoohaw" to those dance girls. They always look so great. And they look like it is so much fund. The kick line (or whatever you call it) gives me goose bumps! Keep up the good work Sheila and Vicki.

;D A few last thank you's! Thank you to all of the parents who made those breakfasts for the players. It was great to have so much participation from every class. Thank you to Rennick and Rennick Law office, Connie's Country Kitchen, State Bank of Toulon, and Johnson's Drug Store for sponsoring the last send off breakfast. Thank you to everyone who helped fill goody bags for the players for away games. A big thanks to elementary school students and teachers who helped decorate them and made posters for the players. Also, thank you to Courtyard states in Bradford, for their donations. Thank you to all those football dads who helped make sure the bags and drinks got loaded on the buses. Thank you to Shelia Rumbold and Lisa Knobloch and the boosters for organizing the lunch for the players and fans after the state game. It was very nice, and the food was awesome. Nice job ladies, I know it was a big job. Thank you Rebel fans for coming out and showing your support for this team. The crowd at the pep rally was overwhelming and I know the boys will never forget how they felt when they walked into that gym. The crowds at every send off and the escorts were just great!! Last, but certainly not least, Thank You to the players and coaches! Players, you have shown us how hard work and determination can overcome adversity. You worked hard and made it to the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!! How awesome! ;D Thanks for taking us along! Coaches, thank you for your faith in these boys, for seeing the potential and never giving up on them. Not only are you terrific coaches, who know your stuff, but you are good men! Men that I am proud to have associated with my boys. Thank you for your positive influence on them. It's been a fantastic ride Rebel fans! ;D

As the one that started this thread, I'm hoping that now that football is over that everybody will continue to come on and post compliments about other things too. Maybe if everybody made it a goal to post one a week - wouldn't that be great.
Mine for this week - Thank you Jim Nowlan and all of those involved for starting this site (countyenews) and allowing us a forum to express our opinions. It's great.

this is a couple weeks late but better late than never. While caravanning to Milledgeville, my keys were inadvertently locked in my explorer while at a pit stop. Rather than leave me there to wait on locksmith by myself, my caravan cohorts waited with me as well as Jeff ruining their umbrella so obtain a wire to try to break in to the suv, so to my friends, Sara Miller and kids in her vehicle, Tina Copeland and kids in her vehicle, Jeff and Tracy Turner, for letting me use his phone and tearing apart his umbrella, and Michael Batey for trying to figure out a way into my car. Thank y'all so much and Jeff and Tracy, I WILL get you a new umbrella next time I go shopping. Once again, thanks y'all!!

Marry, I would like to say THANKS!!! Don't worry about the umbrella.......it's just an umbrella!!! Also, that's what you do. This is why I am so proud to be a part of this community and have my kids grow up here. I know you would have done the same if it was anyone of us. Us die hard rebel fans must stick together. We had to make our entrance into Miledgeville and we would never leave a man behind!!!

addendum to my previous kudos re: the locked vehicle. How could I forget you Darla? Thank you so much for reminding me it was an accident and comforting my child when I was too mad to see beyond my anger. I should take a lesson from you to be nicer and I will try. Once again, thanks to all who stayed with the last man!!!!

Thank you to all of the area volunteer fire departments for being there for us. I know I would find it very hard to stand outside in freezing temps spraying water on something. I am just so glad you are all there and willing to do it for us.
Also thanks to the volunteer ambulance personnel for being on hand during the fire.
And to any employers that understand the need for these people to maybe be late for work, you make it possible for these people to serve the community.

I am thankful for fire departments who go out on cold winter nights. Both Wyoming and Toulon Fire Departments had to go out in last nights below zero temps. Kudo's to all those who respond when there is a need.

and to our police officers and sheriff's deputies for patrolling the roads and making sure all is safe. And to all the people who man the plows, county and state. Strong work! Be safe, keep warm and thank you for keeping us as safe as possible so we can have a Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas to y'all.

;D
I have lived in the SC area all of my life. There are a few thank yous that I would like to post as well. One, now that I am older and take everyday for what it's worth, I learn to appreciate things a little more and become even more sentimental about others. I would like to say thank you to my parents for raising three awesome kids. (I am one of em he he he) We love you more than you know. I would also like to say that I am very thankful to have my dad! He will be facing a pretty rough start to 2009, I am very proud of him and want to thank him for being so strong! Thank you to my family for being the support that we need every moment and I am proud to say that I am a part of their lives each and every day! I also would like to say thank you to Peg Gray!!! She always has a great attitude about everything, not to mention she's a great cook!!! She's like my second mom..... And I think that's what every kid thinks!!! Thanks for loving kids so much. And even though I am a grown adult, thanks to you and Mike for thinking of me like your kid still! I know that the holidays bring warm and fuzzy feelings, but make sure you cherish every moment with everyone you have. Keep a great attitude! Things always happen for a reason, and if there is an obstacle that gets in the way..... it's never put in front of you if someone doesn't have faith in you. Everyone.... have a great holiday season!!! Have a happy and safe New Year as well!!
